Depending on your goal there are many milestones that you can reach in the bench press, but the benchmark (no pun intended!) for the average gym goer is usually how many reps you can do with 225 lbs. Pressing anything over or even lifting 300 lbs. off the rack is typically unheard of. That being said, Maryana Naumova can bench press 300+ lbs. with ease. And get this she is only 15 years old!
