“How much do you bench?” If you spent any amount of time in the gym, you’ve undoubtedly heard this question before. The bench press is the most common exercise in the gym and it is often used as a measure of a person’s strength under the iron. Depending on your goal there are many milestones that you can reach in the bench press, but the benchmark (no pun intended!) for the average gym goer is usually how many reps you can do with 225 lbs. Pressing anything over or even lifting 300 lbs. off the rack is typically unheard of. That being said, Maryana Naumova can bench press 300+ lbs. with ease. And get this she is only 15 years old!
Maryana Naumova is not your typical teenager. This Russian strength phenom has set over 15 power lifting world records in her age category and has her sights set on claiming many more.
